A gallery of stories and colors

This section shows my crochet paintings including works-in-progress. Works-in-progress reveal how the crochet paintings come together.
My crochet artworks have been featured in several shows in Southern California. "Ghost of Christmas Present" received Honorary Mention in the 2023? Made In California Show at Brea Gallery and "I Got You Babe" received first place in the 2023 Escondido Arts Fabulous Fiber Show. I also had the honor of being a featured artist in the Visions Textile Museum Spotlight Gallery in 2024 where six of my crochet works were enjoyed by visitors for a few months.

In 2025 a good friend traded homes with a French couple and invited me to join her in France for a few months. It was an amazing vacation. I had the opportunity to visit Provence where Cezanne painted his beloved Mont Sainte Victoire over 16 times (and me-once). I also visited the Mental Institution where Van Gogh spent some of his most productive painting years AND THEY LET ME PAINT IN THE GARDEN. A truly magical time in France.

At the end of 2025 and beginning of 2026, I began to try to cull my art collection. 50 years of art is a lot even when many have been given away or lost to mold in a leaky garage. I especially own an inordinate amount of figure drawings from over many years of attending workshops and classes. I first thought I would toss most drawings but then realized it might be fun to experiment with them. This led to a nice new collection of collage-paintings.

In 2022, I discovered I could use polyform pre colored clay to creat small 3-D paintings. This is my collection.

Miscellany might be my middle name. Here is more art that I have not categorized.
